To coincide with Reynolds Stone's centenary year Phillida Gili is reprinting Warren Editions' first publication, 'The Other Side of the Alde’. The text was written by Kenneth Clark and was printed in Stone’s new typeface, 'Janet', as a type specimen. The design of ’Janet’ is based on characters which are engraved rather than drawn,  which is extremely unusual and is partly responsible for its  distinctiveness. It was originally printed with four engravings by Reynolds Stone on one of his own presses in an edition of 125 copies. The reprint will include a colophon set in the newly digitised 'Janet' typeface and is limited to 500 copies. It has been printed photo-lithographically and will be available at £20 from the Aldeburgh Bookshop, from Sophie Schneideman Rare Books and from the publisher, at 28
Ifield Road, London SW10 9AA (email: phillida.gili@btinternet.com) at £24 including p & p. A special limited edition will be published later in 2009.

A centenary keepsake with essays by Emma Beck and Dr Alan Powers and engravings by Reynolds Stone will also be available at the exhibition. It is designed by Humphrey Stone. £9.95.
